Hello,
Sorry for the late answer... maybe your problem is already solved (I hope ^^)

If not, as you explain you installed a src.rpm. This is the source to compile again and to have a rpm at the end.
The latest drivers for FC8 are: xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-173.14.12-1.lvn8.x86_64.rpm

Hi,
no problem for time wait! the problem is partially resolved.
I work well but I can not use any special effect
now I have kernel 2.6.26.6-49.fc8 with kmod-nvidia-2.6.26.6-49.fc8.x86_64 173.14.12-5.fc8.2.
I use yum with livna repo for all rpm. Probably SLI & AGEIA is not supported by driver.
If "GL Desktop" (gnome-compiz-preferences) is not active all is very slow unusable,(Note that I use kde).
"GL Desktop Preferences" dont have any tab to fine configuration for "cube", "wobbly" , etc......
With "CompizConfig Settings Manager" under kde yuo can't configure nothing! under gnome i can set some feature but windows is locked at i can not resize! to unlock i need to reset to default setting.
I can not use any effect! rather depressing with an SLI configuration :(
Thank you!

P.S.
I collected various configurations in internet to write my xorg.conf and it seems what works best. but does not solve all problems.
see attach.

xorg.conf ( Number of downloads: 40 )
