All people that have a gmail account can't read e-mail in their LCD game panel. That happens because gmail has a SSL enabled server to access POP3 email, and the LCD panel mail applet doesn't manage them...
So to read your gmail e-mails you have to follow these steps:
- Download
stunnel from
stunnel site.
- Install stunnel and get in the installation folder.
- Here you'll find a file named "
stunnelbackup.conf", make a copy of it.
- Open the original "stunnelbackup.conf" with a test editor (notepad for example), make it empty and copy the following text:
client = yes
debug = debug
[pop3s]
accept = 127.0.0.1:1109
connect = pop.gmail.com:995
[smtps]
accept = 127.0.0.1:259
connect = smtp.gmail.com:465
- save and close
- Start (double click)
Stunnel.exe, a icon will appear on the bottom sys try.
- open the game panel config software (sys tray bottom right) and select pop 3 checker configurations, here do the following settings:
MAIL SERVER: 127.0.0.1
PORT: 1109
USERNAME: [your username]@gmail.com
PASSWORD: [your password]
- confirm all
Now you are able to receive gmail email in your lcd game panel
